The following text is from the original listed building designation:

2. 1839 (dated on sunk panel in rudiment). Stuccoed, main elevation with pedimented gable end, plinth and 4 flat pilasters. Central panelled double doors in prostyle porch with modified entablature and blocking course. Round window above. Flanking, round arched, tall, square-paned windows. 3-bay side elevation of random rubble with red brick dressings. Ground£floor blank. Round headed square-paned windows at gallery level.
The Manse and the Congregational Church form a group.

Congregational chapel built in 1839 with a rendered front of thre bays with pilasters and a full pediment. There are no galleries. (2)
