2. C17 or earlier house with C18 brick front. Now as 2 dwellings. 2 storeys, 3 windows in all. High pitched tiled roof hipped at left, half hipped at right, with old ridge stack. Painted brick with 1st floor band and stone plinth. 3-light casements. Modern doors in stout moulded frames. No 223 has external louvred shutters and C19 canted bay.
