2. C16 timber framed double-span house with higher central cross-gabled ridge, gable end visible at rear and over roof-top from front. 1-bay modern extension at north end of rear span. Both elevations 2 storeys, 4 windows. Fairly high pitched tiled roofs. On front visible timber framing on 1st floor, and traces of jettied front; ground floor brought forward and rendered. Modern windows, 3-light casements on 1st floor and oriel bays on ground floor. Half-glazed doors under tiled hoods on rustic wood posts. Rear elevation tile hung on 1st floor, brick below, with various modern extensions to ground floor. No 9 has entrance on north return.
