The following text is from the original listed building designation:

2. Pair of houses, late C17 or early C18 appearance, but may be older. Each 2 storeys, 2 windows. High pitched, tiled roof sweeping below ground floor eaves level at back. Offset end chimneys, later in date. (One partly covers a small, blocked window in East wall). Red brick walls with stone plinth. No 45 has 1st floor band but front of No 43 rebuilt without. Mid C19 sash windows with vertical bars in near- flush box frames. No 43 has 4-panel door under flat hood. No 45 has half-glazed door in later trellised porch.
