2. Dated 1450. At one time an Inn. Timber framed building masked by later elevations. 2 storeys, 7 bays. Hipped tiled roof with off-centre ridge chimney stack and one half-dormer. 2 outer bays of brick and inner bays of coursed ragstone. Appearance suggests hall house. Segmental, brick arches to 2 and 3-light casement windows. Modern external shutters to 2 centre windows. 2 blocked doors at right and a blocked left window. Canted right angle with a small window on each floor. Some recessed panels and blocked windows on 1st floor.
Copthall Cottage, The Red Cow House and Nos 1 to 4 (consec) Wolfe Cottages form a group.
