The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5280 WESTERHAM WESTERHAM Vicarage Hill (South Side)

2. Large rambling house of varying dates and incorporating a C16 framed structure. Modern brick and tile hung additions to left at rear. C19 rendered octagon splayed bay of 2 storeys to right facing garden. In front facing road is a small C18 symmetrical roughcast elevation of 2 storeys with continuous dentilled cornice and gutter, ridge tile roof with 2 small leaded dormers and centre ridge brick Tudor stack. In centre, square projection of 2 storeys with hip tiled roof. Ground floor. 2 C19 French windows and C18 sash window with bars in centre. Interior. Centre part of house has exposed beams and inglenook fireplace. The rest is C18 with large C19 and modern additions. Once occupied by John Bodicote, a friend of General Wolfe's parents. Mrs Hargreaves, the original "Alice" of "Alice in Wonderland" spent the last few years of her life here.
