15/2002 Circular Colonnade at Hever Lodge and GV Cowhouses.

Circular colonnade. c1904 by J.L Pearson and part of the model farm complex to Hever Castle. This comprises curved brick walls in English bond with wooden posts above forming 16 Tudor arches on each side. Tile and post. This incorporates an ornamental gabled dovecote and links the former bailiff's house to the ornamental dairy and dairy cottage. At the north end is attached a timber framed building with plaster infill and tiled roof with 1 dormer. This has a tiled interior and was formerly a cow house.

Update from current owner in July 2018: "there was a Minor Amendment to the records for Hever Lodge and the 4 associated buildings... on 27 February 2013. This amendment was to change the name of the architect from J L Pearson to Frank Loughborough Pearson (1864 to 1947). This is consistent with the RIBA drawings collection held at the V&A. Frank was the son of John Loughborough Pearson and the RIBA records clearly it was Frank who was the architect on the Hever farm projects. Mentioned in the Builder magazine of 1908 and Academy Architecture of the same year."
