The following text is from the original listed building designation:

2. C15 or earlier small, single-ended hall house, with considerable later C16 alterations. High pitched, tiled roof, half-hipped at left. At junction of hip and ridge C16 stack of 3 conjoint shafts, the outer ones diagonal. (Smoke- blackening from earlier open hearth visible on roof timbers). Visible timber framing with old wattle-and-daub filling on 1st floor. 2 storeys 2 windows. Brick ground floor. Leaded casement windows, one a gabled half-dormer breaking eaves. Inside shows much fairly close studded timber, substantial main posts and beams including one very heavy cross-beam with elaborate roll mouldings. In attic a crown post partly concealed in C16 plastered partition.
