The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5280 SEAL SEAL Church Street (East Side)
The Vicarage including Vicarage Cottage (Formerly listed as Te Vicarage) TQ 5556 NW 28/995 10.9.54.

2. Probably early C18 timber framed house. Covered in mathematical tiles in late C18. Circa 1830 extended to north, remodelled internally and some windows enlarged to square bays. Road front now 2 storeys and attic, 3 windows in old part. High pitched hipped tiled roof with 2 C19 dormers. Red-flecked yellow mathematical tiles with rendered plinth. 2 C18 and 2 late C18 sash windows, all in exposed moulded frames; and one early-mid C19 square bay of yellow brick. 2-storey, 2-window early-mid C19 left extension in yellow brick. Inside a pretty curved staircase with cast iron ornamental balusters; and chimneypieces of the early-mid C19 remodelling.
