Rectory Cottages (Nos 1 & 2) TQ 5243 23/824

2. Late mediaeval timber framed building, possibly a small hall. Later front elevation 2 storeys. Ground floor brick. 1st floor plastered. Ridge tile roof (one end hipped). Ridge stack. 2 plain doors with carved bracketed hoods over. Leaded casement windows. Side elevation. Half-timbered and framework exposed. Plaster infilling and stone plinth. Inside some exposed timber and remains of inglenook.
Nos 1 & 2 (Rectory Cottages) The Leicester Arms Hotel, Nos 1 & 2 (Leicester House) and The Buxton House Stores form a group.
