The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5280 BRASTED TOYS HILL Obriss Farmhouse TQ 45 SE 45/86

2. C16 farmhouse of 2 storeys, 3 windows, with back part added circa 1700. Front elevation shows high pitched, half hipped tiled roof with chimney stack Just off centre. Red brick walls with some blue headers. 1- and 3-light leaded casement windows in old frames. 1st floor band. Segmental relieving arches over ground floor windows. Replaced plank door in stout frame under flat hood. Back view shows 3 gable ends to the parallel ridges of the addition. Upper parts tile hung, ground floor red brick with blue headers. 2-light casements, mostly old iron ones. Plank door in moulded wood frame. Inside much exposed timber on both floors. Original timber-framed back wall visible, square-framing with stout diagonal braces. Inglenook fireplace with old side cupboard, in kitchen. Early C18 panelled dado and round-headed cupboard in sitting-room._
