Monument record TQ 87 NW 4 - Possible chapel site? Malmaynes Hall Farm, Stoke

Summary

A chapel may have once been located on the site of Malmaynes Hall Farm. In 1303 permission was granted to build an oratory or chapel at Malmains, because it was so far from the parish church. However when a c.early 18th century house at Malmaynes Hall Farm was recently demolished, it showed no evidence of incorporating any earlier work. No further evidence of a chapel is known.
