[Area centred TQ 8412 7807] B.A. hoard found about here in 1873. (1) Bronze implements lately found in an earthen pot, 2' below the surface by workmen digging a drain trench at ALL HALLOWS, Hoo, have come into the possession of Mr. H. Wickham. [This must refer to this hoard as the LITTLE COMBE FARM hoard [TQ 87 NW 10] was not found until 1875.] (2) 18 objects, together with some unimportant fragments and nine lumps of metal, found 1873 by farm workers at HOME WOOD FARM, ALLHALLOWS. [Illustration includes 9 socketed axes (some broken), 2 or 3 socketed gouges, hog-back knife 9 illus. No. 14). Fragments of four sword blades and the bronze pommel or chape of one, socketed spearhead. See AO/58/59/6.] (3) L.B.A. hoard of 25 objects found at Home Wood Farm, Allhallows: now in British Museum. [Jessup confuses this hoard with that found in 1875 - TQ 87 NW 10]. (4) Homewood Farm is thought to have stood in Home Field (centred TQ 83057777) where foundations were uncovered in 1962 (a). the siting given by Auth 1. is a field of Binney Farm and before that probably of Avery Farm. (b) but the extent of Homewood Farm was not established. Approx. siting of Homewood Farm confirmed but no evidence on its limits (c) (5).
