The following text is from the original listed building designation:
FARNINGHAM HIGH STREET 1. 5280 (south-west side) Riverside Manor House Cottage and former stables now used as garages (formerly listed as The stables of the Manor House and cottage adjoining) TQ 5467 9/121 TQ 5466 10/121 1.6.67 II GV 2. C18. L-shaped building to the north-west of the house. Two storeys 6 windows. Faced with flints with red brick window dressings and quoins. Hipped tiled roof. Glazing bars intact. Manor House Cottage has a trellised porch. Coach-house doors in the angle of the L. L-wing was formerly stabling, now garages, and is of one storey weatherboarded with hipped tiled roof.
