2. C17 or earlier timber-framed building refronted, reputely once the residence of the Bailiff of Eynsford Castle. Vine Cottage is of 2 storeys, refaced with red brick on the ground floor and plastered above. Tiled roof hipped at the south-west end. Three modern casements. Later gabled weather porch. Rose Cottage, the north-eastern part, is of 2 storeys stuccoed and is of higher elevation. Hipped tiled roof. Modillion eaves cornice. One sash with glazing bars intact. Simple doorcase with flat wooden weather hood and 6 panelled door, the top 2 panels cut away and glazed.
