The following text is from the original listed building designation:
RECTORY LANE 1. 5280 Gas lamp standard situated approx 1 metre north of N.W. most corner of churchyard TQ 5354 1/185 II G.V. 2.
Gas lamp standard. Probably late C19. Cast iron narrow tapering fluted column surmounted by iron and glazed lantern with moulded finial. In 1987 still operating with gas, an increasingly rare survival.
