2. C17 or earlier timber framed building re-fronted early and later C19. High pitched tiled roof with end ridge stack. Roof raised forming pent dormer at left. Later gabled projection at right. Red brick with random rubble plinth. Early Cl9 1st floor sash windows, late Cl9 ground floor 3-light sash windows. 6-panel door under later bracketed pent hood. In carriageway on left return visible timber framing with plaster filling largely renewed.
Eversley and Dilgerts, Darenth Cottage, Markwick, Nigel Coleman Antiques, No 5 Barton's Cottages, Nos 1 to 4 (consec), Barton's Cottages, John McMaster, Cowlard's Bakery and P J Donaghue, hairdresser form a group.
