Farmhouse. Late C16, refronted in 1681, with date and initials RM over front door , extended by one bay in early C20 and refenestrated in late C20.
EXTERIOR: Timberframed building refronted in red brick with some grey headers in Flemish bond and tile-hanging to first floor with hipped tiled roof with catslide to part of the back and clustered brick chimneystack of late C16 origin. Lobby entrance plan. Two storeys: three windows. North or entrance front has C20 casements in original openings with cambered head linings to ground floor. Wide doorcase opposite chimneystack with original flat wooden hood on brackets and plank door. Moulded wooden cornice and plat band. West front has C18 brickwork to both floors. South elevation, now entrance front has catslide roof to south west.
INTERIOR: Stone flooring to Hall and late C18 winder staircase. Sitting Room has late C18 six-panelled door and round-headed wooden china cabinet. An open fireplace may be concealed beneath the C20 fireplace. The Dining Room has an open fireplace with wooden shelf and C18 gun rack and a spine beam with two inch chamfer. The first floor has wide floorboards, a late C17 cupboard to one bedroom and wall framing and partitions visible. Roof reported to have a valley gutter, to be of oak and of queenpost type with purlins.
