TR 14 SW STOWTING
1/114 Barn about 50 metres south-east of Stowting Court
GV II
Barn. Late C17 or early C18. with later alterations. Timber framed, weatherboarded, with hipped plain tile roof. 3 small fixed lights to long west side. Porch with hipped canopy to third bay from north and blocked midstrey to sixth bay from north. Interior: 8 timber-framed bays, aisled to front and rear. Gunstock-jowled posts on wooden cills. Arch braces to tie-beams and arcade plates. Curved passing shores. Staggered butt purlin roof in short lengths not associated with principal posts, and rebuilt towards south end.
