Monument record TQ 87 SE 1 - Kiln bricks, Medieval and Roman pottery, Isle of Grain

Summary

The remains of a suspected pottery kiln were discovered during excavations by workmen in 1939. The finds included thin kiln bricks and a mixture of Roman and medieval sherds, as well as the handle of a large jug. There have been no recorded discoveries since.
