House. C17. Timber framed. Left wing clad with red brick in an irregular bond. Main range clad with patched red and grey brick. Plain tile roof. East elevation: "main range" with "cross-wing" to left, projecting slightly to rear; each of 3 timber-framed bays. 2 storeys, on galleted stone plinth. Eaves of left wing higher. Wing roof hipped to front, main range to right. Brick ridge stack to left end of main range, and projecting brick stack to right. Irregular fenestration of 4 leaded casements; one 4-light to left wing, one single light under stack, and one 4-light and one 3-light to rest of main range. Ground-floor windows with segmental heads. Panelled door with 2 top lights -within glazed porch on stone plinth beneath stack. Blocked door towards rear of long left side of wing. Timber-framed rear lean-to, possibly C17, to main range. Single-storey brick rear wing to right. Interior: exposed framing. Long right wall of left wing close- studded on first floor.

Dendrochronology dating of the hall gave a date range of 1506-1545, and the roof gave a date of 1553/4 (both phase I). Timbers from phase II gave a date range of 1603-1648. Timbers from the roof (phase III) gave a date range of 1757-1775. Timbers from phase IV gave a date range of 1760-1800. (2)
