TR 13 NE NEWINGTON THE STREET (West Side)
4/54 The Old Vicarage 29.12.66 II
Vicarage, formerly house row, now house. Right section C16 or earlier, left section C19, possibly with earlier core. Right section timber- framed with rendered infilling, left section red brick in Flemish bond. Plain tile roof. Right section probably a cross-wing. 2 storeys. Right section jettied. Roof hipped to left with gablet. Wing roof hipped to front, with slightly higher eaves and higher ridge. Central brick ridge stack to left section and projecting brick stack towards rear to right side of wing. Irregular fenestration of three 2-light casements two to left section and one to right. Eaves carried aver windows of left section to form gables with cusped bargeboards and pendants. Window of right section has moulded wooden cill. Blocked door to left end and boarded door to right end of left section, both with segmental heads, latter under gabled bracketed porch. Interior not inspected.
