Sheep house. Circa 1796. Brick with plain tile roof. Rectangular. Single storey. Roof hipped to right. Brick stack within left gable end. Boarded window towards left end. Single boarded door towards centre and boarded double doors towards right end. Said to have been built with bricks from Blackmanstone Manor chapel and said to be the only one remaining with a stable attached. Used by shepherd or "looker" during lambing. The oldest of about 12 sheep houses remaining on Romney Marsh (356 recorded in 1870). (E. Carpenter, Romney Marsh Yesteryears, 1983).

Description from record TR 02 NE 29:
Shepherd's Hut with adjoining stable (or sheep) building, constructed as one phase. Built c1796, damaged in 1987 hurricane, since burnt and now ruinous. Listed grade II. Single storey, brick built, pitched roof hipped at one end and with chimney built into the other (hut) gable end. Single door to hut and double doors to stable on long side and blocked door oposit hut door in rear elevation. (1, 2)
