The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5281 HIGH STREET (North West Side) SANDGATE No 148 148 - (Balcony House) TR 2035 SW 8/192 II GV 2. Cl8. 3 storeys and semi-basement stuccoed. parapet with stone coping and dropped moulded cornice. 2 sashes with glazing bars intact. 1st floor has later wooden balcony. Left side round-headed doorcase set in arcading and. 2 round-headed sashes also set in arcading. Flight of stone steps to street.
Nos 146-152 (even) form a group. Nos 46 and 152 being buildings of local interest.
