Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:

1. 5281 MARINE CRESCENT FOLKESTONE Nos 1 to 14 (consec) TR 2255 NE 1/204 31.10.74 II GV 2. Circa 1870. 4 storeys basement and attics stuccoed. Mansard slate roof with 2 curved dormers each except to No 1 which has 3. Bracket eaves cornice. 2 windows each. Each property has 1 sash and a triple sash with verticals only on the 3rd floor. The other floors have 1 sash and a 3 light bay rising through all floors. Balustrading above 3rd floors. lst floor cast iron balcony and corrugated iron tent-shaped canopies remain to Nos 1-8. Simple doorcases with pilasters and fanlights. No 1 has a Tuscan portico and a simple doorcase with rectangular fanlight. No 14 has a later glass porch and portico. Flights of stone steps to street with stone balusters and cylindrical piers.
Nos 1 to 1 (consec) Marine Crescent form a group.
