The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5281 Grace Chapel (Former Technical Institute) (North East Side) FOLKESTONE Former Technical Institute TR 2236 SE 4/104 II GV 2. Architect Frank Newman 1895. 3 storeys red brick with stone dressings. Very steeply pitched tiled roof with elaborate cupola. Parapet with stone finials and part stone balustrading. Stone pilasters. 1 casement window. Ground floor has left side round-headed doorcase with 3 stone brackets above. Right side round-headed doorcase.
The Library and Museum form a group with the Former Technical Institute.
