The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5281 THE BAYLE (South East Side) FOLKESTONE Nos 30 and 32 TR 2335 NW 2/51 II GV 2. A mid Cl9 corner building. 3 storeys and basement colourwashed. Moulded cornice. Pilasters. 2 sashes to Church Street elevation. 2 to side elevation. Cornices and brackets to some windows.
Nos 26 to 40 (even) form a group with The Battery, Statue in grounds of the Battery and The Globe Inn.
