Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HIGH STREET 1. 1355 (North-West Side) Tourney Hall TR 0320 NE 2/9 28.11.50. II 2. A large L-shaped early C18 house. 2 storeys and attic grey headers with red brick quoins and window dressings. Hipped tiled roof has 1 dormer with C19 gable added. Brick cornice and cemented parapet. The front is flanked by red brick pilasters rising the whole height of the facade. Doorcase in the centre of the front with brick pilasters and entablature and door of 6 moulded panels, the top 2 panels cut away and glazed. Standing on the entablature of this doorcase are 2 further pilasters flanking the centre first floor window but they are smaller than those below. This centre window is square-headed but all the other windows are segmental-headed. Glazing bars intact. The north wing behind is of lower elevation.
