Full Description

A C1st AD carinated bowl and a small urn with a band of lattice decoration were found by Burchell in 1954 on Slayhills Marsh at TQ 8618 7043. The vessels, restored and in the BM were discovered beneath a layer of briquetage in the underlying alluvial clay (1) (a). Additional references (2,3).
