The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5281 THE OLD HIGH STREET (South Side) FOLKESTONE No 4 (Formerly listed under High Street) TR 2236 SE 4/11 5.12.49. II 2. Early Cl9. 3 storeys built over an arcade across the pavement. Red brick. 5 sashes with glazing bars missing, lst floor windows with segmental heads. The arcade on the ground floor consists of 6 Tuscan columns with modillion cornice above. This cornice is continued round the George Lane front on the east side.
