TQ 92 NE BROOKLAND HIGH STREET (south-east side)
5/42 Mulberry House 9.6.59 GV II
House. Mid C18 facade to a possibly earlier house. Timber framed with reddish-grey brick in Flemish bond to front elevation. Plain tile roof. Right end added beyond straight-joint. 2 storeys on plinth with moulded wood eaves cornice. Roof hipped to left and half-hipped to right. Brick ridge stack towards left end and at top of right hip. Irregular fenestration of three 16-pane glazing bar sashes in open boxes and one small fixed light beneath stack. 2 blocked windows, one left of straight joint, one at right end. Ground floor windows have segmental heads. Door of 6 fielded panels beneath left stack with flat, broad corniced hood under C20 trellised porch. C19 rear extension. Interior: C18 doors. Exposed timbers to right and left sections.
