9/78 Monument to John Griffen about 12 metres south of chancel of Church of St. Mary the Virgin

Headstone. Early C18. Stone. Undulating top with lobed ears and long straight sides, carved with crossed bones and two skulls with spades. Winged cherub's head with trumpet in a semi-circle at base of top. Inscribed to Mr. John Griffen, d.1726.
