TR 14 SE LYMINGE -
4/140 Broadstreet House

House. Early C19. Buff brick in Flemish bond to front elevation, red brick in Flemish bond to left gable end. Right gable end painted brick. Slate roof. Double depth. 2 storeys and basement. Rendered brick plinth. Moulded wooden eaves cornice with small Ionic modillions. Left section of house breaks back slightly. Hipped roof, right hip returning to rear. Two rear hips. Rear stacks to left, centre and right. Regular 4-window front of recessed sixteen-pane sashes with splayed rubbed brick voussoirs; one to left section, three to right, that to centre of right section narrower. Taller similar windows to ground floor. Single-storey buff brick porch to centre of right section, with wooden eaves cornice similar to that of house, and leaded roof. Double doors of three panels each, in doubly-recessed round-headed architrave with rubbed brick voussoirs, plain impost bands, and decorative semi-circular fanlight. Buff brick flanking wall to right, of single-storey height, curving down to brick right end pier, and containing blocked round-headed door- way. Buff brick rear lean-to to left section. Later two-storey flat- roofed buff brick rear addition to centre and right. Interior not inspected.
