Farmhouse. Mid C17, possibly with earlier origins, and with C18 or early C19 alterations. Ground floor of front elevation painted brick, first floor timber framed, rendered. First floor of right gable end weatherboarded. Thatched roof. Three timber-framed bays, built at an angle to road. 2 storeys on rendered plinth. Hipped roof. Brick ridge stack towards left end (to right end of left bay) and projecting rendered stack to right gable end. Irregular fenestration of 3 three-light leaded casements. Ground floor has iron diamond mullion window to left and, two three-light leaded casements. Boarded door in thatched porch with two posts under stack, and ribbed door towards right end. Sun Insurance plaque. Interior: stud with curved tension braces to ground floor of left gable end. Chamfered axial beam morticed for partition, to left end bay. Cross beam a few feet to right of stack morticed for two studs and partition. Chamfered axial beam with jewel stop to central bay. Right end bay ceiled. First-floor framing of relatively small scantling, with straight tension braces. Brick fireplace in English bond to right side of stack, bressumer chamfered and carved with date HB 1661 .
