Public house. Late C16 or C17 with late C18 or early C19 facade. Timber framed. Ground floor of front elevation painted brick, first floor tile-hung. Right side Of rear wing has red and grey brick in Flemish bond to ground floor and broadly-spaced studding with red brick infilling to first floor. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys. Underbuilt continuous jetty to long right side of rear wing, returning round rear gable end. Tile-hung parapet to front range. Steeply-pitched roof to front range, with gablet to right, and with four horizontal stripes of grey tiles. Wing roof has eaves and ridge similar height to front range, and rear hip. Rear stack to left. Ridge stack to wing, towards junction with main range. Irregular fenestration of 3 three- light casements. Two six-pane sashes to ground floor. Rectangular painted brick bay towards centre of ground floor, with flat leaded and corniced roof, small-paned fenestration, and door to left end. Carriage entrance to right end of front range. Long rear wing to left, of approximately three timber-framed bays. Interior: only ground floor of wing inspected. Exposed framing, with broadly-spaced studding to left wall of front bay. Chamfered cross beams. Chamfered axial beams to front and central bays, dragon beam to rear bay. Rebated studs and shutter-groove for window to left wall of front bay. Formerly known as the Cock Inn.
