2. Built as one house. C18. 2 storeys red brick. Hipped tiled roof and eaves cornice. Narrow pilasters flank the front and windows 5 sashes with glazing bars missing. Modem shop front, A tablet on the house records that "Sir Francis Pettit Smith, 1808-1874, Inventor of Steam Screw Propellers was born here", The side elevation has an overhang and is partly tile-hung.
