The following text is from the original listed building designation:

1. 1449 NORTH STREET (North West Side)

2. Late C18 or early C19. 2 storeys and attics red brick and grey headers alternately. 3 bays and an addition of one window bay at the North East end which is slightly recessed. Tiled roof, half-hipped at the West end and wooden bracket eaves cornice 4 sashes with glazing bars missing. Doorcase with open pediment and console brackets, pilasters and a door of 5 fielded panels, the top 2 panels cut away and glazed.
