The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5281 EARLS AVENUE F0LKESTONE Burlington Hotel TR 23 NW 10/97 II 2. Dated 1893. Of irregular plan. 3 storeys basement and attics red brick with tiled dressings. The basement is of stone. The windows are mainly mullioned and transomed casements. The left side elevation has 2 curved gables with ball finials. Four 4 light bays and two 2 light bays. Tiled balustrading between semi-basement and ground floor. Tiled roof. The front elevation has 2 curved gables. 11 windows in all, mostly mullioned and transomed casements, 2, 3 4 light. 2 doorcases. The one on the left hand side is set in a round-headed tiled surround flanked by pilasters with a strapwork frieze above dated 1893. This is surmounted by a blank panel with 2 console brackets over. The other doorcase Ihas a round-headed surround and pilasters.
