TQ 96 SE NORTON AND BUCKLAND LEWSON STREET (west side)
1/61 Oast House, Newlands 22.5.85 II
Oast and cottage. Early C19. Timber framed and weather boarded with pan tiled roof. Brick roundel with plain tiled roof. Cottage and granary built as one range with Gothick details with roundel to rear. Two storeys on brick and flint plinth, with paired modillion eaves, brackets and stack to right. One glazing barred casement with moulded pointed hood and loft doors in four centred arched surround on first floor and double cart doors, boarded door and diamond-light wooden casement on ground floor to granary. Cottage (right end) with 1 diamond light wooden casement on first floor, and 1 on ground floor with shutters, both with moulded surrounds, and ribbed door to end right with moulded arched surround and attached shafts. Capped roundel to rear.
