Description from record TR 06 SW 8:
[TR 0443 6158] St. Bartholomew's Church [NAT] (1) The church comprises nave and chancel, with a shingled bell-cote over the west end. The walls are of ragstone and flint, with stone dressings. Four Norman windows remain, one in each side wall of both nave and chancel. Other windows 14th and 15th century. 19th century porch on north side. Original south doorway blocked. The church is in normal use. GP/AO/59/189/6 from S.E. (2) Checked and correct (3). Parish Church of St. Bartholomew, Grade I, Goodnestone Lane (south side). 12th century, north porch 1837. Parish Church. C12, north porch 1837. Restored 1876 (£400). Flint and plain tiled roof. Chancel, nave with wooden bell turret, north porch. Fine 3 light C15 west window. Lancets in nave and chancel north and south, otherwise C15 Perpendicular windows. Interior: nave with roof of 2 crown posts. C14 chancel arch chamfered into responds. Chancel with braced rafter roof. Fittings: combined piscina/sedile in chancel and piscina in nave. Rood stair in nave. Tomb recess on chancel north wall, cusped segmental arch and panel with encircled quatrefoils. Glass: in east window, and possibly west window by Thomas Willement (dated 1844). (See B.O.E. Kent II, 1983, 334). Listing NGR: TR0447361657 (11)
