3/150 The Old Vicarage
GV II
Hall house, now house. C15 ceiled and extended 1573 and clad C18. Timber framed on flint plinth and clad with painted brick and plaster with plain tiled roof. Hall range and cross-wing. Two storeys and hipped roof, with projecting 2 storey hipped wing to right and stack to centre right. Two wood casements each floor on main wing, and glazing bar sash to right of 4 panelled door with flat hood, and 2 wood casements on first floor of cross wing, and I wood casement on ground floor to right of boarded door with lion-head knocker in deep door recess. Interior: evidence of ceiling-in of hall, and possible jettied end bays. Hollow chamfered and moulded beams.
