House. Circa 1776 for Thomas May of Sittingbourne. Grey headers with red brick dressings and plain tiled roofs. The facade sits asymmetrically to the main body of the building, possibly an earlier and partly timber framed structure. Two storeys and parapet to roof with hipped extension to left, 3 hipped dormers and stacks to end left and end right. Regular fenestration of 4 2 storey canted bays in red brick, glazing bar sashed on each floor, with central ogee-headed glazing bar sash on first floor with keyed red brick arched surround. Central projecting 5 sided porch with half glazed door with ogee headed fanlight in pilaster surround with open pediment on consoles. Arched sidelights (See B.O.E. Kent II, 1983, 133).
