Description from record TR 06 SW 59:
[TR 0195 6193] Gillett's Granaries, Grade II*, Standard Quay. Long range of granariesor storehouses. These stood within the grounds of the Abbey and perhaps were the Abbey granaries. (For full description see list.) (1). 17th century warehouse on Standard Quay. A long range, stone-based, then brick, then half timbering filled with brick-nogging in half a dozen patterns. It has recently been discovered that the timbers are largely re-used, including six crown posts. They probably came from the west range and frater of the abbey (TR 06 SW 9), pulled down some time after 1671(2). Additional reference (3). Site photographs (4,5).

STANDARD QUAY 1. ------------- 1103 Gillett's Granaries TR 0161 NE 1/95 29.7.50. II*
2. Long range of granaries or storehouses. These stood within the grounds of the Abbey and perhaps were the Abbey granaries. A timber-framed building with red brick infilling on a base of stone rubble, but most of the ground floor has been rebuilt in red brick and the East side has been patched with tarred weather-boarding in places. Tiled roof with 2 projecting hips over the left doors on the 1st floor, the hips supported on brackets. 8 doors on the ground floor and 1 blocked; 5 doors on the 1st floor and 6 windows, 3 unglazed with wooden mullions and 2 with wooden shutters; 1 covered over.
