Monument record TQ 94 NW 6 - Site of former St. Mary's church, Pluckley

Summary

At Pivington there used to be an old church and a graveyard; evidence for this has been seen during the raising of bones during agricultural work and subsidence in the area caused by the collapse of old vaults. This church was dedicated to St. Mary and but was converted into a stable when the parish was united with Pluckley. There are no visible remains of this church and the site is now under pasture.
