Summary

Grade II listed building. Main construction periods 1767 to 1899 Stable block at Fremlins Brewery built in 1887. Two-storey, five-bay red brick building with queen-post roof. In the 20th century the stable was lined-out with tiles when it became the yeast processing room. Two 2-storeyed ranges were attached to the stable building which were the compressor room. Stable block now demolished. The site is now occupied by a superstore. Listed.

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
FAVERSHAM COURT STREET TR 0161 NE 1/399 Air Compressor Room and Stabling, Fremlins Brewery GV II
Air compressor house, and stabling. Late C18 or early C19. 2 parallel ranges. 2 storeys diaper brickwork, ground floor altered in late C19. Old tiled roof. First floor has 1 fixed casement and unloading door. Pivoting casement to road elevation. Attached to rear is a range of stabling dated 1887. 2 storeys, red brick into slate roof. Church Street elevation has gable with circular window and 3 cambered windows below. Churchyard has 3 cambered casements and 2 blanks.
