Findspot record TQ 94 SE 5 - Neolithic serrated flint flake, The Warren, Ashford

Summary

A serrated flint flake or saw was found at the Warren, north of Ashford. The flake is approximately 4cm in length and was made on a blade displaying a hinge at its broad end. This type is associated with the Neolithic. The find is recorded as having been 'given to the musuem', thought to be Maidstone Museum although it precise whereabouts today are uncertain.
