2. Early C19. 2 storeys, 3 windows. Stuccoed, ground floor rusticated. Stringcourse. Parapet formerly with cornice. Glazing bars intact on the ground floor only. Hipped tiled roof. Round-headed doorway with semi-circular fanlight and 6-panel door.

A site visit carried out in 2023 to inform a heritage assessment examined the exterior of the building and identified at least two or potentially more early phases of 19th century development having taken place to the property.

The building was originally constructed either as an office/dwelling with a slightly later northern extension, or, potentially, as a pair of self-contained buildings. The association of the structure with the nearby brickworks is interpreted (2) as having potentially been the catalyst for the relatively rapid development of the structure over a short time frame, creating a more ‘gentrified’ external appearance by re-fronting of the property in the Georgian or Regency style.

At some point around the later 19th century an extension was constructed to the rear of the building, and during the 20th century the building was repurposed for commercial use and further extensions were built. (2)
