2/82 Vicarage Farmhouse (formerly listed as 27.8.52 The Old School House)

House. C16 and C17. Timber-framed and close-studded with wing of chequered red and blue brick, and plain tiled roof. Now 2 bays, the remnants of a larger building. Two storeys on brick plinth, the left bay jettied at first floor, the right bay of brick with plat band. Roof hipped to right, with C17 offset projecting stack to end left, and projecting stack at rear right. Three wood casements on first floor, and segmental bay to left on ground floor. Glazing bar sash to right with central C20 frame-panelled door. Later C16 additions to rear. Interior: plain chamfered beams. Plain crown-post braced to tie beam indicate early C16 date (See R.C.H.M. Report, April 1972).

Large timber framed house with one bay remaining, jettied on both side. Probably built in the early 16th century with later 16th century timber additions and a 17th century stack.
