Findspot record TR 04 SW 436 - Ashford, Palaeolithic hand-axe, surface find

Summary

A large brown-patinated Acheulian hand-axe was found in fields to the north of Ashford. This area is now thought to be the site of a housing development. The hand-axe was 14cm long and 10cm wide. Present whereabouts of the handaxe is unknown.
