Description from record TQ 86 NE 27:
[Name at TQ 8915 6553] Bobbing Place [NAT] (1) BOBBING PLACE was an ancient seat but in 1766 most of it was pulled down and the remaining part is now a farmhouse. (2) Bobbing Place is mainly modern and of little architectural interest. It is divided into cottages. [TQ 89006548] (3) 2/25 Bobbing Place and Garden Wall (formerly listed as 1, 2, and 3, Home Farm Cottages) 13.8.75 II House. Early C19 extended mid C19. Red brick with slate roof. Two storeys and eaves cornice and raised eaves to hipped roof with stacks to left and right. Regular fenestration of 3 windows, tripartite sashes either side of central glazing bar sash, all with blind hoods and gauged heads. Central 6 panelled door and semi-circular traceried fanlight under an open pediment supported by Doric pilasters. Mid C19 extension to left. Extending from the right end south-east for 50 yards C17 garden wall, 6 feet high, twice offset, in English bond red brick, with gateway 15 yards from house and wrought iron gate and over-throw. (4)
